  1. It’s great that you’re learning Korean now. Is it hard for you? Do you feel like you are starting from scratch? I ask because like you, I didn’t speak Spanish (my family’s native language) growing up. My parents would speak to me in Spanish and I would answer in English. I took Spanish classes in middle school, high school, and college, but I didn’t really speak the language in public until I got a job teaching blind/visually impaired adults how to speak English. Most of my students were native Spanish speakers who didn’t know a word of English, so I had no choice but to speak in Spanish to them. It was a struggle, but now I can say with confidence that I can speak Spanish (just don’t ask me to read a lawyer’s document in Spanish. That might never be possible).

  2. I’m glad you are finally learning Hangul, LOL! Should make life easier!
